swap file in use when there is available memory

According to system monitor, my swap file gets a minimal use even when "unused physical memory" is available
has anyone seen anything like that before?
i run a celeron 400 and i have a 128mb pc133 and a 32 mb pc 100 chip on abit motherboard..
Please, help!

Im not good at explaining things at this time of day/night ...

isnt there some way to set it so swap file gets minimal use ..

Eliander ... you may wanna put in there that you rin WinME and have a BM6 motherboard ...

BurnItDown, are you referring to the "ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1" that you put in the system.ini file?

That will force Windows to only use the swap file after you system memory has run out (or at least thats the idea).

You also need to make sure Windows is managing your swap file for best results.

Oh, nearly forget, the command has to go under the [386Enh] section of the system.ini.
