Moved a few years back. I wanted my kids to live past the age of 18. Sad how far Chicago has fallen. Made a huge rebound in the last 90's, now I won't even go back for a visit.

Why would you move downtown? The north side is where all the nightlife is. The loop has nothing going on after 5.

Ease of commute, ease of going to the places I like. I don't frequent bars and clubs, and pretty much anywhere in the city is a $10 cab to something interesting.
