does anyone have a succesful way of copying svcds? i have a collection of svcds i need to make copies of. anyone know of a way to do it? i tried DiscJuggler, Adaptec EZCD, and CDRWIN, but they all have similar problems when reading ANY SVCD.

Anybody wanna tell me how to plaaaaay SVCDs? I tried a few players like windvd, etc and they won't play on my puter 🙁 Help?

For players, I found Elecard MPEG2 player works good, just make sure you have a pretty fast processor. Make sure you open the avseq files in the mpegav folder, those are the movie files.

Yes, but software DVD players will play SVCDs as they are both MPEG2-encoded video files (DVD at a higher bitrate, along with some other differences)

NOOOOO way svcds rock
they look just as good as dvds on most screens.
+ they are cheap

my vote goes for svcds any day!

yes most low quality screens... but for quality it just does not compare.. 16x9 animorphic... oh man. and high quality digital surround? hah right.. plus having to swap discs is a pain.

Well for an episode of Sanford and Son on a single disc, that is good. thats all i want, when i put simpsons on SVCD, ill put two on one disc.

i tried clonecd, but it just wasted one of my discs, im gonna try the image thing next

well there should be afile u can be able to convert into mpg, then nero should convert that file into svcd format.

the .DAT files i believe are just the mpg's.. but i don't see why clone cd wouldn't work, or something that did a raw copy anyway.
