Dang...you beat me to it. :)

I just took advantage of the deal on the VGA silencer but used the coupon code from your earlier post.

Did the e-mail say that it was for subscribers only, or contain a list of hours that the offer was valid for? I could use that VGA cooler...

Do this then
Use the couponcode "coolproductshotprices" to get $10 off the $19.99 price of the cooler.

[Edited for Cheetah's post] The earlier deal should still be valid, as I ordered the VGA cooler using the couponcode about 15mins ago.

They are on West Coast time, so hopefully they will fix these prices to reflect sale soon....

Buy 2 - replace your barbells! I got the Thermalright SLK-900A. Massive and heavy. You'll need a fan also. I tested it with the 92 mm panaflo and though it was quiet it just didn't push the amount of air I wanted. Switched it out with a variable 92mm Vantec. Quiet when not pushed, slightly above whisper when pushed to max. Spend the extra money on this fan.

I'm still seeing it here.

I have this HS coupled with a 92mm Panaflo M1 (a SVC deal from back in October) and it dropped my cpu temp about 10C.

BTW, the SLK-900A was $19.99 (on sale for 29.99 and coupon code for 10 off) and the fan was $5.99 back then.

The SLK-900A has those damn wires that hold the fan on. They are a royal pain in the butt to work with in cramped cases.

Vantec Thermoflow

$7.05 @ Newegg + $4 shipping. Not a hot deal, but a cold one! Not the best fan, but the best I have found for price/heat/noise performance. Superior to a panaflo (I have four 80 mm in my case for cooling).

Athon 64 3200+ with a 8% overclock. Fortran 550 watt. Nice and quiet.

Will Thermalright ALX-800 work with my T-Bird 1.4 GHz? The current AMD approved sink gives me about 60 C CPU temperature while case is @ 22 C.

BTW I am getting lockups after 3 hours of memory test. I suspect it is temperature.

Yes, it will more than just work. It'll perform beautifully.

All the SLK900 models do, as do the 800 models I believe. They aren't that bad... Plus it makes it convenient if you want to test out a few different fans, since the heatsink comes with 2 or 3 sets for different sized fans.

I agree with screw3d hi8. I have the 800 with a Smart Fan II and AS5. Dropped my temps by 12C and that's not running the fan at max, about half speed.

I have been using the SK6 heatsink, a 7K rpm Delta fan, and Arctic Silver thermal compound for two or three years now with various AMD proc's (1.4 T-bird, 1600+ XP, 2200+ XP) and i must say it has been the best combo ever! Even after many hours of gaming (RTCW, Farcry, Q3, WC3, ET, BF1942) my CPU temp doesn't break 100 degrees fahrenheit, it's amazing.
