SVC has the CM Centurion 5 w/380W PSU for 9.99 AR

I just received my weekly mailer from SVC and they apparently have a CM Centurion 5 mid tower ATX case with 380W PSU for $9.99 after a $30 MIR. Not bad for someone who wants to build a budget box. No word on shipping though, and the deal is only valid between 1/6-1/8, so hurry.

great deal, but I'm still awaiting my rebate from over a month ago on this exact deal from SVC. o well, even at $40 + shipping it's a descent deal.

Edit: $22.46 Ground Shipping kills it for me though.

As others have said, shipping totally kills this. Cheapest would be $26.50 for me.

I realize that shipping this case/PSU wouldn't be the cheapest thing to send, but this is just to much.

Edit: Then again, Newegg wants $75 + $16 shipping = $91. SVC wants $40 + $26.50 shipping = $66.50, then if your rebate comes, $36.50.

I guess if you were in the market for this case or something fairly similar, this is a good deal. However, for those of us just looking for good deals on stuff, probably not worth it if you aren't specifically in the market for a new case/PSU.

The PSU is nothing to shout about, only 16A on the +12V rail, so you would probably have to get another one if you're building anything newer than a Socket A system.

Depends. I've had it for a long time (its the original one). I'm tired of the door, the color, and the dual 80mm fans. I've long been wanting something with a 120mm fan in it.

Edit:

The lanboy is lighter (aluminum) and has a window. Those would be the 2 things it has over this.

Looks like shipping is dependent on your area. I live in southern California and shipping is only about $12 for me. SVC is located in northern California so you east coast people will need to pay a little more.

One 80 x 80 x 20 mm Front Fan (intake)
One 120x 120x 25mm Rear Fan (exhaust)

I'll stick with my super lanboy (120mm front and rear )for awhile longer

Went to go pick it up but the receipt would have said 1-6-07. The rebate form states specifically, the receipt must be dated 1-8-07. I'll have to drop by after work on Monday to pick it up.

I think you can order online with in-store pickup. It specifically says on my confirmation that orders placed on 1/6 and 1/7 will be invoiced 1/8 so that it complies with the rebate requirements.

Actually, I did order online for in-store pickup. Their policy on pickups has changed slightly since I was there last (6 months ago). You can pick up when you get an email confirmation that says come on down. I called because I didn't get the email confirmation. The guy told me to come on down and he would fill it for me since I wasn't aware of the change of not processing orders on Saturdays anymore. They got rid of their in-store ordering kiosk 2 months ago, (SVC guy said because of inventory control and for accounting purposes). The guy working at SVC told me if he knew I picking up that Cooler Master case, he would have told me not to come down because the receipt would not have shown the correct date needed for the rebate. The case orders will be processed on Monday the 8th, thus showing the proper date needed for the rebate.
For anyone who is interested, they still have Saturday pickup for the time being, for orders processed earlier in the week. But even the Saturday pickups will end because he told me they will be closing on Saturdays sometime in the future.

Mine came today. They did in fact date the invoice 1/8/07. Man, I REALLY like the look of this case SO much more then my old Lanboy. And the funky clear grate on the front of the Super Lanboy never did anything for me. But nice, clean lines on this one, nothing gimmick-y, and solid construction.

My only dissapointment is that the front audio connections are made to work with onboard audio. My Audigy2 ZS can't accomodate the use of the head/microphone ports

But the two USB 2.0 and Firewire hook up perfectly
