SVC GC68/Golden Gate 40 question

Hi guys,
I'm wondering if either of these will fit both Socket370 and Socket A? I have a Celeron 566@850MHz that is currently cooled with a Golden Orb, but I'm guessing the GC68 would cool it much better for just 6bucks, will it fit?

Also, is the GC68 better than AMD's stock HSF for the Athlon XP 1800+? I have another retail 1800+ that's using the stock HSF now, and I'm wondering if the GC68 would be an upgrade or a lateral move? SVC rates it for CPUs up to the 1800+, so I'm guessing it won't be much of an improvement if at all? Is the Golden Gate 40 much better?

Thanks!

Thanks, I'm wondering if its better than the retail HSF for the 1800+ though? My 1800+ is currently running at 1620MHz, and the HSF is keeping the core temps at around 42-50C, depending on load and time of day. If its not better than I don't think I'd bother with the GC68.

While a less noisy fan might be of certain interest, I'm more concerned with cooling performance. I already have a pretty loud Panaflo 92mm fan that drowns out everything else anyway :)

Anyway, from a review I've read, it should be better as long as its paired up with a good fan. In fact it runs neck and neck with the Thermalright AX-7 when paired with a Delta 7000rpm fan, which is pretty impressive I think.

Thanks for the info though :)
