Suzanne Somers Dead at 76 from Cancer.

i thought she used unorthodox cancer treatments and rejected chemo?
Surprised she lasted this long. Figured she'd be dead 5+ yrs ago.

And yes pleasant to look at.
shame she got fired from 3's Company

I didn't see any interviews w/ her so I don't know if she was "woo-woo crystals" or not, but I tend not to judge people too harshly for making those sorts of choices.

If your prognosis is bad enough, the math becomes more about making good use of what time you have left. A lot of people reject chemo so they can feel pretty good for six months, rather than feeling crappy for a year (for instance) or so they can die with hair, or whatever.

Likewise, a lot of alternative treatments may not knock out cancer, but they might make you feel better otherwise. (A strict, healthy, diet may not be "cancer-busting" but it will probably improve your energy level, help with nausea, or make you less likely to get a cold or other minor illness that would just be shit icing on the shit cake.)

So anyways.

Also, firing her for asking for equal pay was bullshit.

Rather than joining the likes of John Ritter in the sky, she should join Sylvia Browne in hell, who similarly exploited the vulnerable and desperate. I might expect a small tick upward in cancer survival rates now that this dreadful vamp is dead.

She did not reject chemo. That's how she spun it to her gullible audiences but it was revealed that chemo was never recommended for her cancer, it was considered optional by standards of care, which she never mentioned the first 100 times she spoke of it. IOW, her cancer was not that bad, it had upwards of 70% cure rates from surgical removal. Adding radiation (recommended and she accepted) could boost that by several more points, but chemo (optional) would not improve any further than a couple points.

Ah man, that brings back memories of watching Step by Step as a kid. RIP!

I told a 25 year old about Suzanne Summer passing away, and he was like "who the hell is that?" I said that she he played in Threes Company. He was like "what is that?"

These youngens just don't know. But, isn't that the truth. Fame, youth and your good looks are so fleating.
