SUV hit a pedestrian but didnt see the body

wow, just wow.

an suv thought he hit someone and called 911 but nobody finds any signs of an accident... because a van afterward unknowingly hit the body and dragged it for 17 more miles....

"The commissioner said "the body was significantly damaged" and police were retracing the route to try to find body parts."

Ouch.

Edit: ATOT's too fast for me.

Kinda like a cheap whore. Hit it once then give it to the next guy, except he made the mistake of getting attached.

Yikes. Very likely nobody here is guilty of negligence; it sounds like just a freak accident followed by freak happenstance. The original guy thought he hit someone, so he called the police, but on investigation they found no evidence. The guy with the van didn't notice anything unusual, and I'm sure the last thing he wanted was to drag a body for 17 miles. It is surprising that it took 17 miles for someone else to notice that something was wrong.

nevermind the van who didn't notice... how can nobody notice the human crayon painting the floor for 17 miles?

Probably only had enough blood for the first mile. Once you're dead the heart stops pumping. :Q

heart doesn't really need to pump if your skin is being scraped off by asphalt...

what would be really ironic is if the guy was a street cleaner...
