Same here. And that's going from one page to another. What kind of redactedis that?

No profanity outside of OT & P&N.

Happened to me too. Had a post open and came back to it later and went to respond and got a generic error (said to look in the javascript console) then I hit refresh and got the captcha.

As a side note I kinda like the new Recapcha system been seeing it on lot of sites... might implement it on my own. Easier than trying to decipher some messy text.

I've reported a ton of spam threads lately. Most look like bots. Maybe the mods are trying a new strategy to help mitigate all of the spammers?

This has happened to me in doing my moderator duties.

I have alerted the higher ups to this.

Thanks for letting us know, everyone. I'll have our guys look into it; we may have set the filters to be too strict in our attempts to help the moderation team by stopping spam before it reaches their eyes. We'll get it fixed, but in the meantime, please bear with this inconvenience. Many apologies for the trouble, and thank you for your patience!

I'm just running straight Firefox and Waterfox, no NoScript or ad blockers, and I still got it, so I don't think ad-blocking is the reason.

I've seen the captcha twice already today and there are 7 spam threads on top of the OT folder. So, well done.

There are two things you need to do to help prevent spam. One of which you may or may not already use.

1) Moderate all first posts. When that post is approved they have free rein.

2) Use the stop forum spam database. This may be something you already use, I don't know. WHOIS says this is a Windows server which sucks because I know of a script that can help even more, but you need Linux.

Question: why did i get this captcha when all i was doing was reading posts, not trying to post? Are most users getting this from just reading or when trying to post a reply or start a thread?
