Maybe, but I'll bet they will make SAMBA rpm's for your distro before long.
The trouble is that SuSE has a lot of propriatory stuff in it, that's there selling point. You get extra stuff from SuSE that you can't get from nobody else. It's annoying, but hey SuSE is a good distro and eventually open source will outpace and obsolete propriatory developement, so it's nothing to worry about. 🙂
So It's pretty iffy if you can just drop the PRO's samba stuff into your OS.
You probably won't get the SAMBA that's tightly integrated into the desktop like you can if you paid the premium for the Pro version, but you can get it non-the-less. With a little effort you can get it as nice as the Pro can.
Even if you have to compile it from source. But before long I'd bet that you can get Samba rpms that will work just fine.
