Suse Linux 6.3

I'm trying to install Suse 6.3 on my laptop. The install goes alright and then it says it's going to boot my computer. I then does a bunch of loading stuff and then kinda stalls out when it is trying to start PCMCIA services. After that it reboots the computer and when i tell it to boot from the hd it gives me a non system disk error.
Any ideas would be help full.
