Thanks for not leaving us hanging. I have hardly been able to sleep these last 4 years, not knowing how this turned out.

On similar subject I keep second guessing if the hedges on my property are actually mine, but I've been living here too long now to ask my neighbour and been trimming them all this time, I'd feel dumb to ask now. :p The way the property is there is like 6 feet of lawn on the right of my driveway then his driveway, most of that grass is his so he mows all the way to my driveway, but the hedges are also on that grass side and extend all the way out to the back yard, and his shed is in line with them. So I think technically either his shed is on my property, or the hedges are on his.

It's not really an issue so probably going to just leave it at that, but if ever I decide I want to cut them or something then I'll be sure to ask. :p

Well at the end of all this years later and all...

We're missing a big part of the story, unless it's told in another thread. In the OP there was a survey being done and you were worried that your driveway might be on someone else's property.

And then ... nothing.

The city still owns and easement in the backyard that runs right up the edge of my pool, had never looked into it much, but I doubt they are going to take it over for anything after 40+ years and anything they would do would screw a whole mid range neighborhood up radically.

The city owns a easement there because likely there is some underground utility that they may need to access to at some point. The easement is in place so they do not need your permission to dig that area up...not so they can "take your land away".

Or, the easement is there for future provisions that may or may not come to fruition.
