Employers expect to increase hiring
Some good news.

Strong demand for their products and services is prompting U.S. employers nationwide to say they will soon hire more workers than they have in the past three years.

That's the word from the Employer Outlook Survey by Manpower International, a Milwaukee-based staffing company. The quarterly survey notes that 28 percent of employers expect to hire more workers from April to June.

That's the highest level since the first quarter of 2001 and it's the third consecutive quarter in which U.S. employers have increased hiring.

This would be excellent news and a big blow to the Kerry camp if it materializes

Let's all hope it happens.

No spin, unlike others on here. Hope it happens.

Turning over a new leaf?

Watch out Atlanta - dave is going to be knocking on your door seeking employment today instead of reading the help wanted ads and then waiting for them to call.;)

We'll have to see. What I do know is, companies in our building are all fighting over space now.

The whole vibe I'm sensing is that people have refilled their coffers and can begin moving forward with some risk coverage. I'm sure they all know the consumer euphoria that comes with good jobs reports, it's just going to take the leaders starting the ball rolling.

Combine this with still low interest rates, people with six figures of equity, the impending capture of Osama Bin Laden, Summer Olympics, a weak dollar, and you're positioned for a major boom. Backlash from outsourcing may or may not play a role, but it's not needed and could only help.
