I would be surprised if only 25% of computer owners attack their computer. I have a number of cases with cracked face plates.

<< Here's a site that is always a good read: Computer Stupidities. There is a story somewhere in there about a woman who took a shotgun to her new Mac.
Can't say I don't blame her. ;)

Great site man! :)

I've never physically attacked any of my PC's/servers. Never felt the need to do so.

If something goes wrong with software/hardware, I walk away from the system and start doing some push-ups. It really helps :)

Hehe, I used to just turn it off for a few minutes or so and turn it back on, but, once the problem happens repeatedly and you can't seem to get your computer back on, it deserves a kickin' :p

I took this technet class at my school last year. We got to drag a couple of broken monitors out to the dumpsters and throw them away. We beat the crap out of them first. I'm talking cynder-block straight down on it from 7 feet above. That was a lot of fun......

I take a sledge hammer and broken computer parts into my back yard every once in a while. That is always fun.

I was at a LAN party the other day, and the host was having some problems with his computer, so he broke his keyboard in half, then tied it to his car and rove around for about 30 minutes. :D:D I couldn't stop laughing for so long, that was soooo funny.

I'm just glad they don't make computers like the old NES's... Whenever you get mad because the NES was being unfair (due to it's crappy processor, of course) and through the controller at the machine, the game would just lock up - it always seemed to have the last laugh.

Or do they? Come to think of it, one time I bumped my computer to stop that noisy rattling fan and my computer just froze and emitted a continuous shreik from the PC speaker - it sounded like a dying Teletubby. Luckily, after a reboot, everything was back to normal.

LOL!

Sometimes when my 'puter is acting up and making me mad I'd swear it was laughing at me.

My brother once had a piece of software that called him a stupid idiot! Apparantly the programmer thought that a simple error message wasn't enough.

LOL!!! It's a pretty sad state of society when people feel the need to attack a poor defenseless computer, hehehehe.:p
