About $300-400, as I recall. Been married 28 years.

I hate engagement rings (and wedding rings, for that matter). Ever notice all the scratches on door handles from them? And if you ever lose the diamond from them (it's happened to several people I know) you've p*ssed away a lot of money for nothing.

Yeah, my pickup cost considerably more than that, but no diamond ring can haul firewood 😉

Not that I wouldn't mind a nice wedding ring, but geez, nice to me isn't anywhere near 18,000. Maybe 1800...

Indeed. As was the marriage (hence the divorce).

Was young-er at the time, and a bit overzealous. Thankfully, a bad marriage did not ruin either of our lives.
