SURVEY: How much do you spend on food each day?

We spend about $150 a month on groceries and about $20-40 a week eating out. Those numbers can swing widely either way depending on unexpected expenses (or the lack thereof).

Breakfast is cereal, milk, and protein bar. $5.
Lunch is usually out $10.
Dinner is out most nights, $25-$30.
Then usually a snack after dinner $3-$4.

Oh man. What a waste.

How are you spending $25-$30 a night on dinner? Either you're a very large dude, or you just have money and can afford to eat at descent resteraunts every night.

even in CDN that's still a lot. but then i guess he can afford it

We average 3.00-3.50 USD per person per day. Around 400/month. Will probably go down a bit now that we've got a steer at the butcher's, and have hens for eggs and a big garden & orchard. I'll need a second deep freezer this next year.
