Case stays on. My case is pretty freakin' loud, so anything to muffle the noise is good. The fans and 7200RPM drives can really add up...

I leave my case closed. For cooling purposes it's better to leave it closed because of the way the air vents are designed.

I definitely leave my case open, Partly for cooling - I have fans literally hanging off of the side blowing directly on the motherboard...putting all the fans inside and closing up significantly reduces the airflow. But that's not the only reason, I've been doing this sine I ahd my P133. The main reason is that I go in there to install something new or tweak this or what have you so frequently that it would be a serioius pain to have to take the case off every time. It gets just as dusty inside with the case on anyway, if you have lots of fans

Kept it open cause I can't open my CD drawer...case is too big for comp desk:eek:
But then I noticed all the freaking dust...so I close it up and keep the face off...need a saw to hack down the comp desk a little:D

I'd like to add...

I set mine up and tweak it up "The first time"...

So I can close it up and Enjoy! :)

I get into it about twice/year, which is not worth leaving the case open for.

My overclocked TBird is Well ventalated.. right now, MB temp is 38c, CPU temp is 42c.

Case closed! ;)

Hey, there's always room for more tweakage ;) For instance, my last upgrade was sticking a second PIII450 upgrading my system to dual, I still have one of my hard drives out from when I brought it home for break so I could access my important data, and within a few days I'll be sticking in a Philips Acoustic Edge soundcard. :) Not to mention that whenever I find another fan I like to hook it up and blow more cool air on my computer...though I'm going to have to stop doing that soon, I've already got 4 in there

Due to lack of space for my Panaflo 120mm, as well as lack of ambition to reassemble my case, the side panel is still unattached, as it has been for the past 6 months. My Panaflo sits just outside the case blowing in directly on my Alpha so it always has fresh air to pump.

my athlon 750 (slot A) @922 with a voodoo3 3000 @185, i keep closed and well stocked with fans. my poorly cooled, weak celey 466@525 with old generic case has to stay open or it locks up from the heat.
