Im using a SB Audigy 1.
The medusas have two volume controls.
The inline one controls the volumes of the center, front and rear channels, and theres one on the AMP, which is a master volume. The AMP also has a passthrough for you main speakers, so you dont have to faff around switching them over. The Mic works quite well.
Theres loads of cables with it, to ensure that you can connect it to any audio source.
For the price, its a bargain.

I play AAO, BF, and CoD and have been with my clanmates been looking for 5.1 surround sound headphones. One of our european officers bought the Medusa and has done nothing but taunt and brag about the sound quality that he get out of them. I get first hand say that they improve your game play if you have any skil to start with from what i have seen with him. On to what i really want to know. The majority of our clan is U.S. members and we can't seem to find the Medusa headset anywere. Is it soly in the euro based or is ther sites that endorse american costumers. If so please post.

Here's a list of other surround headphones I ripped from ABXZone forums

Speed-Link Medusa 5.1
iSound 5.1 Home Theater Headphone
Zalman "Theatre 6" (ZM-RS6F)
SONY MDR-DS5100
Kinyo 5.1 Dolby Digital/DTS ready surround headphone
5.1 Channels Surround Headphone CP5.1-WL I
Sony MDR-DS3000 Digital Surround Headphones
Acoustic Research Model AW791 Wireless 900MHz

The Sony MDR-DS3000 Digital Surround Headphones looks sweet! I believe it includes a digital decoder so it would be a great match for my SoundStorm! $189USD... ouch!

Edit: I see BoomAm has done his homework there too 🙂

One step ahead WobbleWobble! 🙂
The Sonys AFAIK, are virtual surround Headphones.

I brought the Medusas a couple of weeks ago. They`re pretty good. The rear channels however need to be slightly quieter than the front & center ones to get a proper surround effect though. And the center, rear and front channels can be adjusted seperately to the main volume though, so thats that problem solved!.
They are awsome in Splinter Cell and Deus Ex 2!
Any questions guys, ask away.

I can get the Zalmans locally, Medusas I'm not sure where to get (Canada).

I'm interested in the Sony's as I can use the digital output from my SoundStorm. Not sure how much better it will be than analog though. But you're right, I think it is virtual. Eh... Zalmans are a lot cheaper!

There are these that I found as well. Someone needs to do a roundup on em!

They are USB headphones. Which bypass the soundcard and are completly reliant on CPU for sound rendering. Which`ll slow things down alot in games/multimedia apps.
