Ive had to surpass 1.7vcore just to get a stable 3.2ghz overclock. Currently running 2.6c / Abit IS7-E / Geil 2x256 Geil 3500 Ultra Platinum / 450w Allied PSU / SLK-900U / Smart Case Fan (original one) / 246 FSB, 1.725vcore, 5:4 ratio, 2.8vram, 1.5vagp, 2-6-3-3, PAT - Turbo/Normal/Auto/Enable/Enable. Ive tried turning PAT off, but i get a siginificant increase in all around performance with it on. About 10-15 fps more in games, and higher Sandra scores all around. I need to know with my setup if its dangerous having a voltage that high? Although my temps are at 60c full load, but Abit doesnt have accurate temps. I've heard their about 10c higher then actual. Any info would be appreciated.

So does the temperature itself matter more then the actual voltage being ran. For instance, if im running at 1.725v, but my temps are around 60c while running prime95 x2, is that ok? Cause thats basically where im at. 1.725v, 60c while running prime95 x2 for hours. I got no lock ups or anything, but i want to make sure 1.725vcore isnt harmful to my cpu.

don't go past 1.7V, the safe limit is 1.65V and if ur cpu can't do what u want at 1.65V, decrease ur expectations

The voltage is more dangerous to the P4 than the temp...

You start blowing capacitors at high voltages...

Aight, coo coo. Im at 1.65v right now, playing it safe at 3.11ghz. Im prolly just gonna leave it at 3.11ghz, and leve it at that. Any oc at all is appreciated, cause it aint supposed to run at 3.11ghz in the first place.
