I am not sure I am following you...
Are you saying that its not worth having a shared hosting that costs $1 for a year of service after youve been paying $500 a month for a dedicated oc3 host?

I don't see your logic or what you are getting at.
6.99 for a domain from most domain registrars and $1 for a year of hosting is a pretty sweet deal to me..
 
I think bottom line is, this is a really great deal for setting up a personal/non-business website, but not a good deal for a mission critical website as you'd be kidding yourself if you expect 99.5% uptime and prompt tech support from a hosting service that charges $1 for the yr.
 
Ok, well I received my updated invoice for $1.
Paid and now my yearlong hosting begins.
Time to check out the tools that they offer.
