Surgery possible?

is there any sort of surgery available that will restore function to paralyzed limbs? im talking about from the waist down.

Sure, if the paralysis is secondary to nerve compression, and decompressing the nerve will restore function. If the nerve is damaged beyond repair, then no.

well the person i am inquiring about was shot. i dont know how severe it is, but im assuming if this technology was around 12 years ago he woudl have had it done. any chance there is anything to get his legs working?

Was the spinal cord severed? Severe nerve damage? Medicine has not advanced enough to fix that problem yet, unfortunately. :(

You could have someone exercise the limb(s) to try to keep them from wasting.

he is able to have sensations in his legs, but not complete touch recognition, only general recognition.
