Surge supressor question...

How is Furman Sound M-8X as a surge supressor? It's on sale so I can get it cheaper then my original go to, Tripp Lite ISOBAR8ULTRA.

Right now it will be used for a gaming pc. Depending how it does there I will purchase a couple more for the home theater, living room media center and second and third gaming pcs.

Thanks

about the only real difference in surge supressors is the amount of protection they off. This protection is rated in juels. The higher the number the better protection it will offer. Some offer other features but the basic surge protector is all you really need. So any brand will do.

UPS's are a differnt story.

joule - a unit of electrical energy equal to the work done when a current of one ampere passes through a resistance of one ohm for one second.

I would stick with the Tripp-Lite. Cheaper is not always better.
