Surfing Windows Explorer

If you block access to the drives, as in hide them using the GPMC, they won't be able to access them through explorer. I think defaultly you have the option of blocking a, b, c or d and any combination of them. If you need to block further drive letters, you have to modify the group policy template. If you can wait until Tuesday, I'll give you the exact location of the GP entry. I have to do it on my citrix boxes and thin clients so users aren't browsing the local drives of either one.

Alright, sorry it took so long. In the GPMC, under the group policy, go the User Configuration, Administrative Templates. Then go to Windows Components/Windows Explorer. One of the policies is "Hide these specified drives in My Computer." You can use that setting to hide local drives.

Then go to the "Prevent access to drives from My Computer", enable it and choose the drives you want to prevent access to.

This allows you to hide the drive and keep them from accessing it should they get sneaky.
