Surfing over tor

At work, I mainly use a onion/tor client w/ firefox to surf at work. About the only thing Ive ever done that would even be close to personal info was login to Facebook. But if I wanted to check my bank account, buy something, or anything else where I might send personal/sensitive info, is it a good idea over tor? Is it secure enough for info like that, or could it be intercepted?

tor is ripe for man-in-the-middle attacks, I certainly would not send anything remotely personal over it.

I wouldn't do ANYTHING you don't want captured using tor.

her209 - as to your question it's a layer7 and layer3/4 traffic pattern that is easily recognized and manipulated.
