It could be a fort.in the pic what are the people standing on? a old castle rampart?
In the video he said that he was scared of getting swept into 'the rocks,' while in the article he says that these big wave rides are very carefully planned... 😕
How much can you really plan out riding a 100 foot wall of water? There are more unknowns and uncontrollable variables than there are the opposit.
gotta go where the waves are dudeYou'd think they'd pick a beach without huge rocks.

You think 100 foot waves happen everywhere? It depends on swell direction, size, period, bathymetry, tide, all sorts of shitYou'd think they'd pick a beach without huge rocks.
cortes bank... same size waves, no beach to crash into.
That takes balls.

This. Pushing yourself over the edge of even an 8 foot wall is intimidating. I was out on a 15 foot day, biggest wave I've ridden was probably a legitimate 12-13'. Scary as shit. Takes a lot of nerve to decide to goI believe it is a chapel. We never went up there though.
I used to surf, biggest wave I ever surfed was slightly overhead though. These guys have to be towed into the wave by a jet ski because it is not possible to paddle to catch a wave this big.
