k I just installed a custom waterblock (milled and machined by a friend w/ my help..)
my specs are as below and at 1.92Vcore on my xp2400, i'm getting 44C idle, and 50C under extreme heavy load (cpuburn). I always lived w/ 50-52C temps w/ standard air cooling at 2.25 gighz. Cpu seems fine under these conditions, but I knw some of you absolutely shout in horror when you see anything above 48C lol.
So are these temps pretty ok?
my board temps fluctuates between 20C and 23C.
@ 2.35 gighz w/ 1.75Vcore, I was getting 33C idle w/ 39C under cpuburn.
@ stock, 2 gighz w/ 1.64 Vcore, I was getting 28C idle w/ 33C under cpuburn.
I was wondering if I should have just bought the Whitewater block instead? ..it's pretty pricy at 60 bucks when making your own waterblock costs a mere 15 bucks
