Who gives a fuck? Her job isn't to be sexual eye candy for undersexed P&N nerds; it's to serve on the highest court in the country. She served as the Solicitor General which MORE than qualifies her for the position.

Heh.. I don't really care what the SCOTUS looks like, but yeah.. that lady is.. something else. I wouldn't even rate her as high as a slumpbuster.

no formal judicial experience is just what is needed to be assigned for life the highest court in the land. what a fucking joke.
Yeah, sheesh, she's no Clarence Thomas!
However, the ABA rating of Thomas was the least favorable of any confirmed Supreme Court nominee dating back to the Eisenhower administration (most nominees receive unanimous "well qualified" evaluations).[38]

Thomas had never argued a case in the high courts, though others have also been appointed without Supreme Court oral argument experience,[40] and prior to Thomas, forty Supreme Court justices had been appointed without any prior judicial service (though none have since).[41]

Thomas had never written a legal book, article, or brief of any consequence, and had been a judge for only a year.[40]
You do hopefully realize that you're just using a dumb diversionary tactic, don't you?
Mursilis, please explain to me HOW responding to bob's claim that Kagan having no formal judicial experience makes her a joke as a nominee by citing Clarence Thomas and his near paucity of same PLUS the fact that FORTY Supreme Court justices also had NONE is, in any way, "a dumb diversionary tactic".

Please, I'd really like to see you try to make your asshole claim fly.

Give it your best shot.

Whereas Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia are both movie star handsome and NOT piggy repulsive mounds of misplaced flesh at all!

At least Thomas is as bright as he is dreamily attractive.

Oh, snap! :awe:

You're forgetting that Clarence Thomas is also known as Long Dong Silver.

This woman is exceptionally homely though. Poor thing.

From experience, I can say that looks and brains are inversely proportional.

Proof? Sarah Palin and Elena Kagan of course! lololol...

She is not that bad looking. She is overweight and is a woman who just turned 50. She hasn't taken care of herself clearly, but she isn't a dog like Reno or haughty looking like Nancy Reagan. She wasn't that bad as a young woman

and the McDonald's fry cook's opinion has been noted...

\ding, want frys wit dat?

Ding, fries are done

If she would make a good Justice that makes sound, quality decisions following the laws of the land then nominate her. Hasn't there been 40 Justices without previously doing this before? Why should this be such a big deal now?

Heard something interesting over the weekend, but unfortunately only partially. Seems the lady took a position at Harvard against a law (I think military recruiters on campus) that was later upheld by SCOTUS 8-0 (I don't know when or who didn't vote.)

If true, Obama has potentially pulled off a liberal coup, replacing the leader of SCOTUS' liberal wing and STILL moving the court to the left.

They prefer the word "progressive" now.

:) It's actually just in the front.. the rest of the top of my hair is combed flat.

Its still ironic that someone with below average looks such as yourself feels it appropriate to call Roberts ugly. I'd put good money that he looks better now than you would at his age.
