Supreme Commander $37.99 and Gal Civ 2: Gold $27.99

Don't waste your money on Supreme commander just yet. It is a good game but not worth the ~40 dollar asking price. The game is unique in its large scale scope, but gets boring to look at real fast, because u are mostly directing from a global birds eye view. Also to really see those large scale battles with tons of units on screen you will need a very extremely beefy system. Save your money, wait till the game is sub 30 dollars and you are sure you can expereince the game the way its meant.

eh? Supreme Commander is GREAT game, they brought back one of my favorite RTS games: TA.

This game is well worth spending $37.99. Hell, it's worth the full $49.99

Have to say I agree with buzzsaw here, I couldn't wait for this game after playing the beta.

I have to agree wihtt he other guy about it getting boring fast.
It pretty much like most RTS out now. Build, mass, attack.

With that said its still better them most game out there. Far cray better then warhammer and LOTR. Still I got bored during the beta, and I was looking forward to this alot.

I think in the grand scale of this thing TA seems to be bigger battles only becuase moving around troops dring a fight had more of an impact. Also this usually come down to troops very bases and TA had more unit to unit fights in the middle of the map.

Also I could a idoit and just didnt get all the finer points while in the beta.

I've been playing the hell outta Sup Comm, and I gotta say it's the bomb!

Runs pretty well on my Opty165@2.5GHz w/ 7800GT and 2GB of RAM, even at 1680x1050. If you have problems with framerate, turn the shadows down as far as you can, makes all the difference with a lot of units on the screen.

Well worth the $37 IMO, I highly recommend it, especially for online play!

I also totally disagree. This game is fantastic, although it does require some pretty beefy hardware to run it well with higher unit limits. Totally worth full price, IMO. Best RTS I've played since TA.

I played the demo of Gal Civ 2 a while back, and it reminded me a lot of Alpha Centauri. I'll have to pick it up.

On the topic of Supreme Commander, I preordered it for $40, and I wish I would have waited a little bit to spend a little less on it. It's certainly cool, but...all of the units lack personality. How do the units not even have any voices? That's one thing that really irks me. That, and the AI hardly builds armies. I don't know - it just seems to lack something special.

I can only imagine how all these games will turn out once DX10 rolls out completely... or implemented completely should I say

Anyone know of a good deal on the C&C3 preorder? I wouldn't mind getting Tiberian Dawn + Covert Ops by preodering now.

I dunno where a good place to pre-order C&C is but, gogamer.com is usually the cheapest. They have alot of deals on newish games sometimes. Not sure about pre-order deals tho.
