SupraPad 7" 2GB Android 4.4 tablet $59.99 @ Newegg

This is clovertrail but it is 1.2 GHz and not like 1.8 or 2.0 (66% faster) most clovertrail chips are.

And baytrail is even better.

Not saying this is a bad deal but I bet you can find a better tablet under a $100 prior to christmas

Sorry, I thought all Atom-based Android tablets with KitKat 4.4, were Bay Trail.

Is Clover Trail much inferior? Is it still OoO, or is this a die-shrunk version of their older in-order architecture?

It is same rough ballpark as the quad core cortex A9 and the quad core cortex A7. So we are talking nexus 2012 speed. Nowhere near the performance of Baytrail, cortex A15, and snapdragon 800+.

This is not to say this tablet is bad at this price. I just wanted people to know it is a Z2520 clovertrail dual core, and not one of the baytrail chips which would be a z3xxx series (which come in dual cores and quad cores, range with clocks from 1.46 to 2.42 ghz).

I can not really fault it at this price point. I just know with me I would spend up to $40 extra (I consider all tablets under a $100 the same price bracket). But for a kid or such with low expectations I see this as a good deal, or an adult who wants something for a disposable one off thing.

Has anyone tried ordering with GCO $15 off $50, does it work?
Worked for me, but only with the mobile newegg app, not the one that says for tablets. $44.99 is a good deal. My wife is the only one in the house without a tablet, and this will be a nice screen size upgrade from her S4.

bump for some additional choices from this mfg in OP.

Added CT Android 4.4 / 2GB / 8GB tablet for $10 less than title, and Windows 8.1 tablet for $89.99.

What are the differences besides 8GB and 16GB?

According to the specs on Newegg, that's the only difference. If you don't think that you need 16GB of storage space (I believe that they have a microSD slot), then you could save $10.

When I originally posted the deal, the 16GB version was on sale for $59.99, but the 8GB version was like $79.99, so I didn't post that one.

Newegg got it here with free shipping already. Screen is meh, but otherwise very nice for $45.

While CPUz and another app both report 2GB of ram, CPUz shows only 1GB available. Not certain what to make of that. A bit over 11GB of storage space available. This appears to be made by Foxconn. Sees all 4 threads 2 core + 2 HT. Snappy so far, wifi works well in other rooms. The case is nice enough, and it is black. A nice surprise since it was white in the pics.

Only odd thing: watching netflix the sound was low with earbuds. I turned it up but it went right back. It had to be raised in settings first, and it only let me do it after warning me it could hurt my hearing. Nannyware?

Thanks again for the the deal.

interestingly, it appears to have a matte AG coating on the screen. Not sure if I like it yet.

It also has an option to encrypt the tablet with a password.

my 3 came in yesterday but i haven't opened the boxes yet. they're for my nieces/nephews. hopefully they'll be ok for them.

I'm really liking this tablet, at least considering the price point of $60.
Edit: Except for the anti-glare coating on the screen, it makes it seem permanently "dirty". I would have preferred a clean glossy screen, even if it meant the tablet was unusable in daylight.

Unlike my $50 Digiland 701Q tablet from BestBuy, running Firefox on this tablet hasn't quit due to OOM yet. And I can actively Skype with someone, while simultaneously browsing with Firefox. Impressive!

I'm glad I returned the other two 701Qs to BB, this one is much, much, better.
