Same here. Snow and ice would scare the fvck out me while driving. I already hydroplaned once and the experience of total loss of control was scary enough. I suppose for Northern drivers they get used to it but it seems so dangerous to me. Although I was raised up North I wasn't of driving age then.

I love driving in snow... rear wheel drive pathfinder. I rarely put it in 4wd, opting instead for the ability to do u-turns simply by shifting the steering wheel to the left slightly, and gunning it. (you can completely turn around without ever leaving your lane if you're good and the road has enough snow on it) Turning at corners is similar... I approach them sideways, ready to go forward around the corner.
