I was driving back to my dorm from gettin' groceries last night with two friends.
I pull up to a red light, there are two lanes and they both go straight, the road becomes one lane on the other side of the intersection (gradually). I've got a bigger car, so I dont like to try to sqeeze in between cars as i merge... so I figure i'll just give it some gas and beat the car next to me. At no point did i look over at the car or even see what he was driving. As i see the cross light turn yellow, I apply a little gas while still holding down the brake. Apparently the guy next to me hears me and takes off when it turns green. So we both take off. We get to the intersection with me a half car length ahead. I noticed that his engine was really loud, i could hear it over mine while all my windows were rolled up. As the road turns uphill after the intersection, I pull away from him easily. I'm now ahead on and ease off the throttle. he then turns on his high beams.... I guess he was pissed.
I see where he parks, so I went back and took pics later (also saw he only had one passenger). Supra with stickers! My friend says he has a body kit, but im not sure. I'd say his car is rice... all those stickers, the shiny wheels, exhaust (maybe thats why it was loud?). Is that a stock wing? All show and no go. Just look how tiny his brake rotors are. I didn't get a picture of his front brakes tho. heck, i've got 13" rotors on my front.
Anyways, on to the pics:
Supra pics.
my car.

EDIT: looks like he has clear corners too.

Looks like an older model Supra to me. That is definitely not one of the later models they produced.

Older model non-turbo supra. Nothing special about the car but good kill.

What makes you think it is a turbo?

Well I thought that all Supras were turbos. My friend has one and it is one. Never saw a Supra without one.

[Edit]Just checked a page, didn't know that there were non-Turbo Supras [/Edit]

Nope. Supras are either NA or turbo. I saw no badging to indicate this was a turbo, but I am by no means an expert on MKIII supras.

Fascinating that you have to crap all over his thread because you disagree with his lifestyle. Go somewhere else with your crap. Little green with envy eh?

either that car is a non-turbo auto or a 5sp turbo with a sh!tty driver.... I'm leaning towards the first.

If it was a turbo 5sp, he would have zoomed past you (depending how fast/slow your car is of course) as those models do about 6.5ish in 0-60

with that ride you'd get so much lovin' from the girls living there... sounds like a good strategy to me.

Obviously the older body. I would assume it's probably 12 years old. Do you have BMW's famous inline 6 in your car?

Those older Supras are still nice.... even non-turbo's are quick... .. too bad you're using an Automatic.. haha..

edit: nm, even that older supra should have over 200hp

yeah, nice kill....the MKIII is still nothing to scoff at, the engine didn't change too much to the next generation. But yeah, he probably was all rice and didn't know how to drive it. Nice ride too.....how much does a car like that weigh? 296 at the wheels should be fun. :)

Some people dont appreciate a fine car. :D

Yep, 3.5L straight 6.... soo much torque!

dude.. your pimping it in the 7 series......
wheres your dubs tho?
I put money into the go, not the show. I actually removed the chrome ///M grill the other day.

Thanks! Its ~3900lb stock. The headers I have should lighten it up a bit, but I've also got the sub in the back I just installed last night (Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1). 292 at the wheels is lots of fun. Thats at redline tho. besides, torque is what you drive with, and i only have 275 of that.. altho its at 4000rpm. The LSD really helps with the launch and when its raining. Rather than spinning one tire, I spin both :)

It was fun. I'd like to see the look on his face as a big luxury sedan pulls away from his sports car.

EDIT: I think ffmcobalt could learn a thing or two from this post (referring to how he uses multiple posts to reply to multiple messages).
