Yeah I bet a lot of people wanted to repeal the Civil Rights Act too, but thank goodness the Founding Fathers decided that we would be a republic.

It sucks that the Republicans can't get a 2/3 majority in the Senate until Obama's term expires.

I would've been okay (not happy, but okay) with McCain since he didn't support this crap and would've reduced costs some other way and certainly wouldn't have raised them.

I'm hoping that the up side will be the awakening of Americans to the left wing agenda. If Mccain had won....business as usual.

McCain would not have reduced costs at all.....in fact we would be adding more and more troops to the Middle east...you really are a freakin moron aren`t you dude???

McCain was serious bad news for this country!!

It would be nice if the health care bill actually did something about costs other than add to them.

Hell, I'm in a union and one of my biggest concerns is that my benefits already cost a ton. How good will negotiations be if health care costs even more?

Are you rolling your eyes because you don't understand that even if 63% want to repeal it like the poll says, doesn't mean they're right, and that it's a damn good thing we have a republic and not mob rule?

Didn't a majority want to pull out of Iraq at some point? Does that mean we should have done it?

No I'm rolling my eyes because you are comparing a healthcare bill to a civil rights issue 5 decades ago.

Its tards like you that scream "WHAT ABOUT SLAVERY?!?!?!" whenever anyone mentions state's rights.

Are you stupid? The point isn't civil rights itself. Everywhere you rightwingnuts see boogie men calling you racists and slaveowners. THE POINT IS THAT WE DO NOT HAVE MOB RULE. WE ARE A REPUBLIC IN WHICH ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES VOTE FOR LEGISLATION, AND THEY PASSED HEALTHCARE REFORM.

Your caps lock key is busted. Stop yelling and foaming at the mouth

No. We have a Constitutional Republic, where representatives are elected to REPRESENT their contituents. When 2/3 of the nation is against something, yet their elected officials pass something anyway, they can expect to be out of a job.

Dems will be hammered in November.

2/3 of the nation against Democrats on Healthcare

2/3 of the nation against Democrats on immigration

Can they fuck themselves over anymore?

Did you see the polls on what the public thinks of Republicans' obstructionism?

http://www.electionprojection.com/index.php

That one? Democrats will be fighting tooth and nail to keep a fuckign majority in the senate in a traditionally tough cycle for Repuclicans. With elections in Washington, California, Connecticut, Illinois, and several other D strongholds, it is STILL going to be close. What does that say to you?

Repeal won't happen. Amendments will.

Dems are banking on amendments. Sure, it is not the best piece of legislation, but it's good to set a foundation to work with.

I'm skeptical that what they passed is a good foundation. Seems like in the effort to get the votes they needed, the legislation turned into garbage along the way.
