I am getting back into working out and was curious if there were any amateur muscleheads on the board? I used to work out with a professional body builder (not that I was ever looked like one) anyway, I was working out 7 days a week 2x a day, cardio in the morning, and lifting in the afternoon alternating muscle groups to allow time for recouperation. ANYWAY, at that time I was on Hydroxycut( oldschool ones with Ephedra 10 a day) Cell-tech (creatine), Whey protein shakes 3 a day, and androgen...Was wondering what you guys use or had sucess with? I need to take off/convert about 30lbs of fat to get back to where I need to be.

Pretty much just diet, multivitamins and IDS whey protein isolate shakes for me. I've always found Creatine to be overrated. It gave me headaches for some reason and I felt like I had to always be overhydrated to maintain the results I got from it. I haven't used Hydroxycut but I know several people who swear by it. I'm pretty lean so I just haven't had the need for stuff like that. I think you're fine with just what you eat, whey protein and hitting the gym 3-5 times a week.

haha no I wished I still did, I just started back this week and its been about 3 years I would say since I had that kind of routine. So yeah Im 5'11 about 220lbs. I want to get down to between 185lbs-190lbs in 3 months. I probably will not ever go back to 7x2 every week. I will however maintain 5x a week pace. I may skip the creatine this go around. My only issue is that ephedra is now illegal, that stuff made me be able to work out for 2 -3 hours straight with no loss in energy. No everything is ephedra free sigh...

First of all I am calling shens on your back story, you sound way to uneducated to have even worked out with a pro body builder once.

Second the bans on ephedra HCL have been lifted.

Third skipping over creatine is just plain stupid.

What are your current stats and measurements? If it has been three years since you have worked out I doubt you want to cut right away. Also except for protein, fish oil, and a multi, you don't need any supplements right now, because after a 3 year break your gains are going to be good anyway starting out agaim.

I would be glad to help, but I need to know more about your goals first. :)

Lifting for 2-3 hours each day is a recipe for overtraining. Plus, if you were able to work out for that long in the first place, maybe you should think about increasing the intensity of your working sets.

Celltech is a ripoff. It contains soo much sugar.

I take the following:

AST 32X
Lean Green
Exceed
NOXplode
Optimum Whey
ZMA
Fish Oil
PowerFULL

I justed order Animal Pump, I've read good things about it.

ON Whey
AST Creatine
Universal Animal Pak
Higher Power Green tea extract
Walmart Fish oil (consumerlab.com says it's safe...)
Biotest ZMA

I've also been taking Biotest HotRox extreme for my cut cycle in the past few weeks. It hasn't sped up fat loss, but I am retaining my strength and muscle, which is good enough for me.

Xceed and NO-Explode is a little redundant don't you think?

There is only ~1g of creatine per scoop of NO-Explode so I would suggest bulk mono or CEE post workout.
