My iPhone 3G contract is up this July and I'm looking into the options out there. Now I hear of the HTC Supersonic and I'm VERY interested. From what I gather it will have the same uP as the N1 but with more memory and a larger display. For me the single biggest drawback to the iPhone is that for my 53 year old eyes the display is a little too small so having a larger display would be more important the the other improvements.

So, what are the actual specs for this device? L x W x H ? Weight? Display size and resolution? Battery capacity? Storage options? Data transfer rate?

I know, I know, the phone aint out yet, but if the rumors are true I think Steve Jobs and ATT may have lost a customer!

They say 4G is a no brainer and will be to 3G like 3G was to EDGE...

Battery life will likely be ponlematic, but many of us already carry spare or mod with large capacity batteries already. The though of going wireless with all data is very tempting...

Can someone explain to me how Sprint and Verizon relationship works? If you are on Sprint, can you roam on Verizon network for free? My next phone will likely be an HTC, unless Apple sues another manufacturer too.

Verizon allows all CDMA phones to roam on their towers. Sprint is CDMA.

But do you have to pay extra for this roaming or is it covered by your Sprint minutes? Also, you can only roam for voice or data too?

If you are on one of Sprint's Everything or Everything Plus plans, there are no roaming charges for voice minutes. In most cases if you are truly roaming and not on Sprint's network, you won't get data service AFAIK.

Are you sure? My N1 on Tmobile has 3G and Edge as different data speed grades. 3G is a lot faster too.

EDGE meets the ITU's 3G standard. therefore, it is 3G.

I you roam over 800 minutes a month or over 50% of your allotment they will drop you. You typically have to do it for three consecutive months. They have similar rules for data but they are much lower limits. If you are roaming all minutes go against your anytime, not anymobile.
