Yep, conroe OC'd to 3.1Ghz does it in 16, that beats the former world record, which was a Pentium 4 670 Prescott Oc'd to 7.3 Ghz on liquid nitrogen :laugh:

I think I get around 40-50 seconds ish with a 3Ghz Northwood w/HT, havent run SuperPi in like a year

My dothan @ 2.7Ghz does it in sub 30 seconds.

you can run a dvd movie and surf the web and your score would be the same because the other core would handle it.

I suppose if you could tell the second instance to start at position 1,000,0001 and calculate the NEXT million and ran both instances at the same time you would effectively do the 2M bench in the same time as the 1.

If an overclocked Conroe does it in 16seconds... Does that mean a regular 2.4ghz conroe will do it in regular amd 3800+ times about?

If so then Conroe won't be worth waiting for for me....

I guess its all about how easy it is to overclock.
