Unfortunately...

"Referral code discounts may not be combined with this offer."

I highly recommend the Xootr. I've put hundreds of miles on my Cruz and it still rolls as smoothly as day one. Even the most solidly built Razors (and knock-offs) will not last 100 miles. The only part I've replaced so far is the brake pad. A Xootr will stably ride over cracks, gravel and speed bumps. It's also fun in about 2 inches of snow (crazy fun after playing SSX), but I would avoid ice!

Nova Cruz (manufacturer) has an excellent service department. This factory second and refurb sale is a great deal on all the models.

About the different models:

Cruz (wooden board). Solid, more comfortable, but the board will wear over time and need replacing if you ride it hard. The refurb is an excellent deal at $100.

Street (aluminum). Slightly heavier, and the bottom will scratch if you hop a lot of curbs and speed bumps

Comp (carbon). Personally I wouldn't spend the extra $100, but if you have to have the best. (They're slimline model is lighter, but it's not available through this sale.)

Front-brake stops better than the rear-brake except when emergency braking downhill.

I almost bought one until I did a little research about the Know-Ped. See this discussion on Know-Ped vs. Xootr.

Basically, a Know-Ped is a tad larger, has a rear fender (no mud on your legs), comes standard with front brakes, is upgradeable with many aftermarket parts, and can be purchased NEW for $115 here.

Just an FYI for those thinking of buying one.

How old are you people? Are you actually going to putter around on one of these things?
