The difference in size and brightness is unnoticeable for most. This is a filler story the media hypes up every few years.

And I'm stuck inside a McDonalds near the Chesapeake Bay, 80 miles from home, with my asshole friend having bugged out and it now being too dark to successfully hitch-hike. At least it's a 24 hour Mickey D's and has internet. 😉

Probably going to be way too much Urban light to see much here anyway.

I remember going camping in the sticks in southern Indiana years ago over a labor day weekend.

The family used to have some land on the edge of the Hoosier National Forest.

One of those things were up and we all walked down to the lake there, looked like something out of a fantasy movie.

The moonlight made things look almost as clear as daylight, was very cool.

Yeah, and is pretty much the worst thing for meteor viewing conditions except for cloud cover. A full moon (any full moon really) on a clear night will make the landscape glow beautifully, but it's horrible for star gazing.

I agree. Can't tell a damn difference.

To think I guess the moon moves away from earth at the rate of 1 inch a year. Just imagine how "big" the moon looked 2,000 years ago. LMAO! That's only 166'.

They say criminal activity is increased during full moons as well as activating lunatics so I wonder if we'll get super criminals or super lunatics...
