Superman I and II are possibly the worst movies ever made

I can take the totally crappy special effects but the acting and stor ylines are so bad that it is amazing. Did they have a 2nd grader write the story lines and a 3rd grader directing the movie? The innocent bystanders are so damn stupid it drives me INSANE. "OMG a huge piece of steal is going to fall on me."...guess I should just stand here and scream while it falls from 1500 ft; moving wouldn't be a good option at all. The stories are even worse than the acting. I can't believe they actually made these movies.
 
Well, Gene Hackman did make for a good Lex Luthor. Too bad they stuck him with cheesy sidekicks and bad plots.
 
Blasphemy. Superman is the best and Christopher Reeve is by far the best Superman actor to every play the role. If you think I and II are bad, don't watch IV.

I have yet to see III or IV.
 
2 is quite bad, I watched it on hbo last night. I particularly hated how they spend the first 10 mins recapping everything that happened in the first one.

Yeah I watched it on HBO last night as well.
 
Superman was great

Plus Richard Donner will finally be able to release "HIS" cut of Superman 2, including the Brando footage from what I understand.

Hopefully "HIS" cut is about 4 minutes long. That's about all you need to do that movie.

Minute 1: Bad people come to earth
Minute 2: Superman loses power
Minute 3: Superman gets power back
Minute 4: Superman wins by tricking bad guys
 
Also, I wouldn't say they were the worst movies ever made. I wouldn't even say they are the worst comic book movies ever made. The number of bad movies before you get to Superman I/II is so long it isn't even worth the bother to count.
