SuperIntel Vs SuperAMD...

If you put togheter to best available Intel system and the best available AMD system with the exact components like vid card memory, and exact the same tweaking etc.
Which one will score highest in 3dmark 2001?

If there are any people with supermachines(both sides),please post your results.

NO nerdish flamewar please. Just wondering.

Don't think you'll be able to avoid the SuperFlamewar with a thread like this.

Just check out the reviews at various websites.

Arent you guys tired of having flamewars?
Please! Why does it always have to be this kind of crap when there is a question about these two processors??

Can the serious people aswer and the less serious start another flamewar in ANTOHER thread.

This question is just like anything else,like...What are you going to eat for dinner tonight?
Becasuse of the magic "Vs" between the magic INTEL and AMD, this question is making people angry on eachother. Grow up...

So may i please ask the same question again...
Which one will make the highest score?
And i would like to have answers on facts, not on your opinion!...*please*

First of all, there weren't any flames yet and secondly, this is a stupid question and you have to know that people will flame over something like this.. your thread is flamebait my friend. Take a look at plenty of reviews online.. Anand even has one man, with lots of benchmarks, same vid card, same system etc.. look here before you post next time.

You all know that a 64 processor cluster of IBM Power 4's running a low level, multi-threaded x86 emulator with a directX 8.1 emulator running alongside would kick the crap out of any solution those puny companies "AMD", or "Intel" could produce.

Actually, I doubt that that's even possible, but it'd be cool!

Well, it's impossible to construct them identically. Component-wise, yes, but...

I'm afraid you're just looking to start a flame shoot.

Oh well. It appears the top score at MadOnion right now is Macci's AMD AthlonXP running at 185x11 (2035MHz) with a GeForce 3 clocked at 305/670 (core/mem) -- that rig scores 11199. That's insane 😀

That said, the closest P4 in the "race for the highest score" is DigitalJesus' rig @ 2520MHz. He doesn't specify his core/mem, and he scores 10495.

Keep in mind that, for a fair comparison, the core/mem speeds must be identical. Particularly at 1024x768x32 (and above) the video card is the most limiting factor, not the CPU. So without knowing the clocks on DJ's GF3, it isn't possible to say that the XP is the winner.
