I don't mind the whole Devil in Prada sort of thing, but what really made me wince was the heavy use of not-so-good CGI. Obviously, it isn't going to be as good as a movie, but with shows like The Flash (oddly enough, from the same frontrunners) doing a decent job with CGI (it still doesn't match movies, but it isn't Smallville bad), you can't put out something that bad. Just don't try to show such ridiculous shots on a shoestring budget.

LOL! A person I follow on twitter is flying off the handle calling the show sexist cause she's wearing a skirt. 😀

Exactly how does walking around without a disguise protect your secret identity?

because too many of these characters are from eras where there really wasn't that much serious thought put into the characters; the new Flash show is particularly cringe-worthy when staying too true to some of the characters and their persona/ability even though it just makes them feel like they're straight of 1956.

and unfortunately they don't have the balls to go that far against canon for fear of upsetting the ultra-diehard fans

Apparently you didn't notice that Jimmy Olsen is a black guy in this one?

I wince comparing that clip to what the CW has managed to do with the Arrow and the Flash with miniscule budgets.

In fact, I was just thinking watching the next to last Flash of the season that the CW kind of reminds me of when SciFi was still doing the Stargates and turning out decent scifi despite meager resources.

Wow. That was horrible. Or at least the first 91 seconds were. I didn't make it past that.

BTW, I thought The Devil Wears Prada was a good movie. It's sacrilege to compare this (or the first 91 seconds) to Devil Wears Prada.

I don't care what ethnic background any of them are. I just want it to be good. This looks terrible.

I could be wrong, but I don't think any iteration of this character has ever not been awful. She's just a title 9 copy.

So, Jimmy Olsen is now black? sigh.....
Same thing with Iris West in CW's The Flash and Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.
Sister Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman is played by a white actress. 😕
