I watched some of that on TV this last weekend on TNN. Very, very unexciting to
watch. I seem to remember them saying that all but two of the cars broke during the
competition.

For the price and the "performance", most of those cars are just plain pathetic in the 1/4

The GTI got screwed on the 1/4 mile run. (It wasn't really a 1/4 mile run.)

Although Neuspeed came out and appoligized for their misunderstanding about how the race was supposed to be running. (I was impressed that they did that.)

They are vowing to make up for it on the next invite.

If I remember correctly, they took #2 on the twisties

that is pretty sad considering i bought my car used at 12K with 29xxx miles and swaped in mah JDM turbo engine with stock boost and running hi 13's in the 1/4 mile. So far i spent less then $20k on mah machine

they're correct if you're an old stupid fart of a car magazine editor that doesn't know how to launch a car. You can tell from the friggin MPH that nobody knew how to launch. Not even with insanely easy to launch AWD cars. I wish they would show the 60ft times so we would know exactly how crappy C/Ds editors are at launching.

The Neon's time at 15.5 @ 97mph? I've seen people a full second faster in the 1320 with the same mph with a front drive car. In fact, the SRT4 runs a 14flat at 99mph. 2mph = 1.5seconds ET? I don't think so...

EDIT: I'm looking at the mfg hp claims and laughing my @$$ off.

Those are pathetic times. One of the RSX's had a trap speed of 106mph, but the ET was only a 14.5 - that's insane! A 106mph trap should be good for at least a 13.5.

At the end of the article in the magazine they have a pic of a Z06 and comment that bone stock it whoops all of the cars in the test on the track. Kinda funny.

Yeah for nearly 50,000....why not go ahead and get a car that is stock that will run with those cars and be of better quality??? M3? Corvette??
