Indeed. Put the 1UZ engine in a miata, the weight savings would be superior to forced induction, all the extra acceleration but with better handling. Oh god listen to the noise of that naturally aspirated V8. A turbo would blunt that beautiful note.

What supra "goodness" can you swap on to the 1UZ? Seems like most of the stuff designed for the 2JZ wouldn't be compatible with a V8. Obviously, there is always aftermarket stuff and I'm sure there are SC and Turbo kits for the 1UZ. What is the goal here?
