Superbowl Sunday

If you really think about it, it's kind of odd that they have the Superbowl on Sunday.

With people having to go to work, school, etc on Monday, you'd think Saturday would be the better choice. Bars would probably get a lot more business, grocery stores, etc.

stupid question. Should Thanksgiving be moved to Saturday? Should Christmas always fall on a Saturday?

People have to work every day of the year, someone is always going to get the short end of the stick. Get over it.

People should stop watching that shit. Problem solved.

Edit - /flamesuit

I love the people who think they are too cool for football.

Not me. I just don't care. I'll be at the gym.

in....26 minutes?

I also try my best to avoid football. Once, I stood outside in the rain while everyone else was watching the game. It was cold, miserable, and I was hungry, but at least I made my point. It's all about principles. I showed them. Those fools.

NFL plays on Sunday. Saturday is for college basketball.

NFL plays on Thur. Sat. Sun. and Mon.

Traditionally, high school football games were Friday night, college games on Saturday, and pro games on Sunday. That was unchanged until the first Monday night football games in the early 70s, and (except for holidays) Thursday and Saturday games weren't until the 90s IIRC.

It boosts the economy. People will buy enough beer for two drunken days of drunken drunkenness. And chips and dip for two days.

What boosts economy? Wouldn't Sat. do that since you'd have an extra day??

No. Sunday would be a hangover recovery day with no excuse to continue partying. These things are scheduled by men. Buildup...buildup..buildup...blip...sleep.

Why would grocery stores get better business? Why is it odd that its on the same day they play most of the regular season games on? Why would the NFL care if it gave the bars more business? More people work on Saturdays than Sundays as well. If you really really think about it, Sunday is the logical and all around right choice.
