This place, along with Trader Joe's, sell Chimay, Duvel, and Delirium (very good Belgian ales).

Guinness and Kilkenny are nice.

If you have some near you, I HIGHLY recommend brooklyn beer. Someone brought over a six pack of brooklyn lager and I was not looking forward to it being American and a lager. I normally do not like either very much, but I was extremely impressed. It's hands down the best lager I've ever had. I went out and tried a few of their other beers and they're really good.

Don't get too crazy with the random beers most people haven't heard of. it's a super bowl party, no need to get fancy.

I saw one person mention stella though, which is a good choice IMO

Actually Id suggest some Sam Adam Boston Ale. Not the best craft brew, but infinitely better than the Budwieser type, and common enough that people will recognize and want to drink one.

I'm surprised that those three are considered "bests" of Belgium. To each their own, however. They're definitely not bad beers.

I just bought 6 bottles of this stuff: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/202/7661/ it is freaking amazing.

But anyway, I second the Hoegaarden recommendation for your purposes.

What'd you spend for your bottles of DeuS? We got some in at the bar a few months ago and I had to spend 20 bucks for my bottle. I definitely liked it (was pretty different with the champagne style) but I'm not sure if I'd buy a few bottles.

There are SO many great imports people love, but it's tough to give recommendations for a Superbowl party as a lot of the best beers are somewhat polarizing due to intense flavors. I think those that have mentioned Hoegaarden are pretty safe, it's a nice taste that isn't a boring old domestic while being pretty "plain" (I mean, it is a belgian witbier) and easy on the palate. If you want something pretty safe but on the opposite end of the spectrum I'd have to recommend Young's Double Chocolate Stout. It's a stout obviously, some chocolate taste (actual chocolate added during buring - not just the chocolate traces in other stouts), creamy, pretty strong aroma - yummy. It should be a reasonably priced imported stout that's still not too overpowering in any regard. I could list some of my new favorites like Dark Horizon and Blushing Monk - two bottles we just got in and that I absolutely love but I'm not sure how easy they are to find and I doubt they're inexpensive as I paid 20 bucks a bottle for each.

$24 a bottle. I bought 6 because I plan on putting 4 of them away for a few years. Apparently they will mature quite well. I've seen that some people are paying up to $40 per bottle!
