wife was designated to bring 7-layer dip

and I volunteered (one of many) to bring beer.

knowing my friends, there will be plenty of domestics.

what 'international' beers should i look into?

Guinness, Smithwicks, Stella Artois, Amstel Light, Newcastle, Bass, Harp, Boddington's...that can get you started.

What about microbrews? I'm assuming by plenty of domestics you mean bud/miller etc?

Stick to 6-packs and mix it up. Just make sure it's something you'll drink and if it ends up going home with you because nobody liked your selection, then bonus points, I guess.

Heineken is really only a short step up from domestics. Why everyone seems to swear by it -- I'll never know.

I don't get it either. To each their own, but i'd drink anything before a Heineken.

I need for the beers that I can easily get from local grocery store, World Market, or Trader Joe's, etc.

I don't want to have to buy them online.

op where do you live, we could give you some advice on microbrews, but for argument sake pyonir pretty much nailed it on the head with what you'd need for a superbowl party.

And to switch things up you can mix a bunch of them with guinness. You'd be able to get any of the beers pyonir said at a supermarket.

If you can dig up a Best of Belgium variety pack you're golden. It contains Hoegaarden, Leffe Blonde and Stella Artois

Where can I get that particular Belgian variety pack?

Party's near Myrtle Beach and I'm flying in from San Francisco.

Try BevMo? I actually picked it up at a Sam's Club.
