Superboot

I build my dad an office PC for xmas and the motherboard has this option to "Superboot" I never heard of it before. What does that do?

I found this :

"SuperBoot
Reduces computer boot time by storing values during first boot and using them during future."

Is that a good thing? I just don't know

I have no experience with it, so everything that I say is simply guessing. I do not know what is being stored, but I would imagine that something such as device detection is involved. If so, that might speed things up some, but I don't know what would happen if a problem with a device occurred later. Sometimes the only thing that you can do is to experiment and judge for yourself. But, since you didn't build it for yourself, it might be better to leave it disabled, depending on how savy your dad is. If there was a problem booting, it could always be disabled later...couldn't it?

my motherboard has this feature as well...Foxconn 975X7AB, altho i'm not familiar with it either, i haven't really tested with or without it so...lmk your findings cause i'm fairly lazy. ^_^
