shipped , no rebates, that is the best deal without a rebate I believe.

yeah but, super talent?? who the fvck are they?

is this good ram or will you need to replace it in 3 months?

Mine has been running just fine as advertised. The little bit of feedback I've heard/read as far as service goes has been positive and included a RMA that had a turnaround time of less than 10 days.

SuperTalent is actually a very good company. I am running a set of their overclocking series DDR 800 @ 3-3-3-10 at the moment with no trouble what so ever. A good friend of mine owns a fairly large local computer shop and swears by ST memory. He has been using them for around 7 years with no trouble. He told me gets more DIMMS returned from the larger brands then with ST. Another note I like is that their DIMMS are "made in the USA", or so they claim.

Just fyi, if these are not micron d9gmh chips, theres a better deal at newegg. Newegg has kingston value pc2-5300 which are micron d9gmh for $36 with free shipping. = $72 for 2gb for micron d9gmh. People have already tested them at 1000mhz at 5-5-5-15. Seems pointless to me to buy non-micron d9gmh chips to save a messly $10.

The only issue would be that Kingston uses IC's from various companies so they may have had a large quantity that came in the same box that were all Micron D9's but after that is gone then there's no telling what IC's will be in the next box.

That's still a good price for Kingston memory even if you don't get the D9's. Looks like Ewiz might be sold out of this Super Talent at the moment anyways.

hmm all the am2 x2 core motherboards I am looking at say Standard Memory DDR2 800. But all the memory on sale is DDR2 667. I guess this means if it works it works overclocked?

Just put a dent in my buying spree. If this is the case I will just wait for a sale on DDR2 800 and up again.

That's not how memory/mobo work, they will accept a range of memory from ddr400, ddr533, ddr667 and ddr800. You can also underclock and overclock it.

Man, this stuff keeps on getting cheaper and cheaper. And to think just about four months ago 2x512MB of Corsair Value DDR2-667 cost me $95 (!!!). It seems like right after I put my AM2 system together DDR2 prices started dropping like a rock. 😛

And even for OCing these chips aren't bad at all. I got 800MHz @ 1.9V easily and 900MHz @ 2.0V. I didn't even bother pushing it further, but 850-950MHz seems to be where most of these top out.

Haha yeah me too...well, my P180B purchase/deal post triggered it but then I followed up with this to start the internals...

Now I just need a crazy deal on a CPU...hmmm...

I got these back when they were $120. I have these on a DFI P965-S. I set the timings to 5-5-5-15 @2.15 Vdimm, left the rest on auto, and it's Prime stable at 1000MHz. You can't go wrong with this stuff.

Couldn't resist, maize well push my Vista Machine to 4 Gig. Hate to think I paid $170 for 2 Gig of Kingston about 4 months ago.

$#@! why didn't I pull the trigger when it was around $56?

🙁

i broke down and bought it at $56. now i'm on the dark path to upgrading to C2D (it's dark cause i have to spend money, not cause of intel 😛)

ordered my HTPC case today, woot! 😀 just gotta wait for gigabyte to release their new mATX mobo to check its price. otherwise, i could get the CPU/mobo today

Me too... haha. I currently have a p4 lga775 ddr1 board, and that'll be my next upgrade, and then I'll probably get a c2d next month. I'll be broke for a little while.
