Entire Star Trek Enterprise...what does that mean? Star Destroyer vs. NCC-1701, A, B, C, D, AND E?

NCC-1701-E can destroy an entire Borg sphere with a few quantum torpedos...a Star Destroyer would be no match!

Kevin J. Anderson isn't so bad... at least not in the Dune prequels I've been reading.

his characters in star wars books are complete and utter morons.

actually, he isn't so bad compared to some of the trash that was put into star wars books (see: children of the jedi, the crystal star, planet of twilight). star wars books seriously sucked until michael stackpole came along and kicked ass.

Too bad he wasn't left to complete his little series :disgust:

Reminds me of some messege board discussions I've seen about ST vs SW. It is truly the epitamy of geekdom. It's scary, disturbing, and interesting all in one.

Edit: I rest my case.
It's one of the wonders of the internet that enables me to know that no matter how big a geek I think I am, there are whole groups of people that make me look like James Bond on the relative coolness scale.

These have been done to death people. The answer is always the same- it depends on the warheads the SW fighters are carrying, which vary in firepower from the megaton to gigaton range, and whether there's enough ST ships to do the job of sniping off the fighters.

does the federation have any small attack fighters like SW's x, a, and y-wings?

not really

unless you count shuttles, but they are very few in number and aren't really built to be fighters

I've had this discussion numerous druken times. And there is no way to resolve it. Just wait 20 years for hollywood to find someway to bring the two together and answer the question in a non satisfying cheesy way.

Look at what he was given to work with...

Stackpole's other books are quite good, too. If you haven't read them, check them out.

Star Destroyer, no contest.

Why, you ask?

Because those pussies from Star Trek would be too busy trying to establish Nonviolent First Contact to Save the Interstellar Whales between them on the battlefield to actually fight.

Oh, and if things got rough, the Empire would just ferry a few Sith over to each ship to disembowl the entire crew. Whatever the Voyager ship is might survive longer because Darth Maul would be too busy banging the Borg out of 7 of 9. Ditto for the Enterprise crew for the hot Vulcan chick.

But yeah, Star Wars > Star Trek, because they actually blow sh!t up instead of finding out ways to avoid it.

I'd go with the Super Star Destroyer, especially if Grand Admiral Thrawn was in command. He'd know what defense the ST guys would use before they would! 🙂
