Here's the easiest and cheapest way to get wavebirds (if you are in a major metropolitan area)

Look on craigslist for people selling gc's. Find gc's with wavebirds (2 or more is better obviously)

buy it, keep wavebirds, and sell the rest. If you perform some due diligence you can get wavebirds for like 5 bucks each (or better yet make money on em)

I've got a wavebird with no battery cover and no receiver if anyone is interested. :p

What about the "other" mechanics?

short hops, wavedashes, shffl's, etc?

I believe wavedashes have been removed, but I haven't been staying too up to date with brawl so I could be mistaken.

Foxtrotting seems to be growing in popularity, though.

A bit off-topic, but I'm considering pre-ordering this game (and I never do pre-orders). What would you guys consider the best place to pre-order SSBB from?

gamestop is the only place i'm aware you could even pre-order.. and toys r us i think, not sure though.
