Super Quiet Fan w/ AX-7

I want to purchase a super quiet fan for the ax-7. Im thinking the Panaflo. There are 2 types, the low output, which are quieter and the high output. Specs on low output: Model FBA-08A12L. 80mm x 25mm. 12v. 0.82 watt, 1900 RPM, 24 CFM, 21 dBA, 4-Pin power connector.
Is the low out put version suitable for an amd 1600+? im not looking to overclock. Plz give me ur FEEDBACKS! thx

i was thinkin the same thing... i was planning on upgrading to the AX7 from the SK6.... that little 60mm fan still annoys me.... i i bought the thermaltake 60mm one too.... it was suppposedly quiet... but it still bugs me. I was gonna get the AX7 along with teh higher output 80mm panaflo... but i was thinkin maybe i should just reuse one of my old sunon 80mm.....

A low output fan working well on an XP1600+?
If that were true, there wouldn't be a need for half of the 'high output' fans out there.

dont go with a delta I have both the 80cfm and 68cfm sitting on my desk as they were too loud, the 50cfm sunon is the one I decided to go with since it still produces a great amount of airflow and it is very quiet. I am thinking of buying two more sunons for front and rear case fans to replace the 32cfm ones I have there now.

Hell, I have an L1a blowing on my 8045 that's cooling my 1.1 tbird @ 1333 1.85v. It has been essentially bulletproof.

I think i might go up to the YS Tech 48.5 cfm fan on my AX-7, would you say it was loud snowpunk?

I have an old Sunon on mine.. I think its THIS one (32db/39cfm) but mine seems a little weak (not sure if its 39cfm), so i might be wrong... My temps right now are CPU: 53c idle/57c load CASE: 36C

Im using the notorous A7A266 though, which apparently reads temps 10c higher than anything else, so that could be my problem... Living in the Florida heat and humidity dosent help 🙂

<< hehe, I hear yah...getting pretty hot here in so. cal as well.

You blowing or suckin' with the sunon?

Quite a personal question, dont you think? 🙂

i was gonna say that too, lol

i just put a 80mm L1 on my SK-6, and getting 47 idle, 49 load... case temp is 26-27 regardless of idle/load. Enlight 7257 case i think.. i forget...

anyway, i had the thermal take 60mm on it before, the 6025 or something like that..... put ita bout 42 idle /45 load, 26 case.

i love the panaflo... and i guess im willing to trade off the extra heat for the quietness... just as long as i dont hit 57+ on the cpu, im happy... and so far, im no where close to those numbers...

this is a 1700+ ..... just bought me an antec 1030B-like case, will put panaflos as all 4 case fans... and i expect to see lower temps because my current case only has 2 case fans, both of which are L1s.

oh, when i opened up my case, temps on the cpu dropped to 42 idle, 45 load... which is why i think the problem are my case fans.... and the reason why i bought the new antec-like case. (chieftech from newegg). my before temps which i listed above were with sunon 80mm 2.0W fans.. but then i swapped to the L1s....
so yeh, recap:

before:

SK6, thermaltake 60mm 6025
2 Sunon 80m 2.0W case fans (i think you can find a pic of it on an earlier post on this thread)
enlight case

now:

SK6, panaflo 80mm L1
2 Panaflo L1 case fans
enlight case

next week:

SK6, panaflo 80mm L1 (i might swap my old sunon 80mm in... they werent THAT noisy..)
4 Panaflo 80mm L1 case fans
chieftech case

hey, better yet, put a pcp&c silencer on there for $8. that's that I'm doing
28cfm 20dBA 1700rpm -- beautiful

Where could i get those? Id love to change out all my ADDA's with that...

yeh, but those are $8 vs $3 for panaflos........ for that price, you could shove in almost 3 panaflos into your case and cool it much better....
